Story
As you can see above, where I'm munching on some fried potato, I'm not the healthiest person in the world! So, I decided to challenge myself whilst raising money for a worthy charity.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge is a 25 mile circuit which involves climbing the three mountains of Pen-Y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) in 12 hours or less. It is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I finally think my ankles are ready for it (famous last words).
The charity I am raising money for is the Yorkshire Cancer Centre at St James' Institute of Oncology. The Institute treats 2,000 patients a day and their aim is to supplement NHS budgets by purchasing those "extras" to help ensure patients receive the very best care the centre can provide.
