My mum was first diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma over 8 years ago.  She faced chemotherapy and radiotherapy head on and managed 5 years in remission.  Unfortunately, the cancer returned and mum has subsequently had to endure a further 2 episodes of chemotherapy (she is still undergoing treatment) to attempt to reduce the size of the tumours and improve her quality of life.  The type of Non Hodkins Lymphoma my mum has is incurable, however chemotherapy helps fight the illness and prolongs life. 

 

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for all blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
