I have been a GP in Worcester for the past twenty years and have had the privilege of working with St Richard's Hospice and their staff for most of that time. They provide a wonderfully caring service with inpatient and outpatient care for patients and their families.

You may be unaware that Hospices only receive approximately 25% of their funding from central government and the rest depends entirely on charity.

I am not capable of running a marathon, nor riding from London to Paris, but I can have my head shaved in public - at the surgery - so please, donate as much or as little as you can spare and help me to help this amazing Hospice to continue to deliver excellent care. 

I will baldly be going where none of my colleagues have been before on the 19th of September 2015!
