Stracy's Marathon Mission

London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·
Hi Everyone,
Thank you for visiting our Just Giving Page.
My Story:
On the 24th Sept 2009, we were so excited as we were going to collect 'Bill Gates', so called, as he had been dumped outside the gates of Birmingham Cat Protection.
He came with his own story, as all of these beautiful cats do.At his months at the Cat Protection, he hand cleaned himself, never purred, and wet himself in freight with human contact.
I hoped we could make a difference to Bill. It was a long journey, but the sound of him playing, purring and gaining his trust over the following months made it all worth while.
At the Cat Protection, they help care for thousands of cats/kittens every year. They are all given health checks, innoculations, blood tests, microchipping and neutering if needed, with the cost averaging around £150 per cat, and they never put a healthy cat to sleep.
It would be much appreciated if you could sponsor me and help me make a difference. You can also Text Donate by texting CATS23 to 70660....It couldn't be easier!
Despite only previously running much shorter distances, I have decided to take on the challenge of the London Marathon (26.2 miles) on the 23rd April 2017, to raise money for Birmingham Cats Protection, who rely on these donations to continue their amazing care for these cats.
Training for this momentous task, has meant 5am starts and training in all weathers, which has taken me completely out of my comfort zone!
My target is £1000, please dig deep and help me get there. Every penny Counts.
Thank you
R.I.P Bill Gates (22.12.16)
Will leave it with you.
Stracy xx
