Story

Last year we did a Christmas quiz, but this year we’ve decided to do things a little differently, because let’s face it, you’re probably all a little bored of lockdown quizzes!

We know that many of our members love cooking and that most of you are fond of a good curry! Cooking is a great way to bring people together, so we’ve decided to host a Christmas Cavernoma Curry Cook-along!

But this is no regular cook-along! Oh no, we’re delighted to have partnered with Spice Trove (www.spicetrove.co.uk), who are supporting us as a charity and providing beautiful, artisan eco-friendly curry kits made from upcycled sarees, using compostable inners and recycled materials.

These kits are not only unique, but they’ll provide you with all of the spices you need to create a delicious, home-cooked curry from scratch! All you’ll need is a few extra ingredients (don’t worry, we’ll send a list)! Then, join us on Zoom as we all cook along together and share our finished curries.

You’ll have the choice of a Coconut Dahl, which is suitable for vegans, or a Goan Chicken Vindaloo, for those of you who like it HOT!

Join us for a night of community, fun, connection, cooking... and finish up with a delicious, home-cooked curry for dinner!

The Cavernoma Society has been set up by those with cavernoma to help those affected by it. We are a volunteer-run charity supporting friends, carers, family, and patients affected by cavernoma. This rare neurological condition affects 1 in 600 and it's our mission to provide support and research into the condition, thus improving lives.
