I am going to try to climb Mt Kilimanjaro in February 2010. It's not a technical climb but it is high (just under 20,000 ft - 5'895m..look out for me on www.kilicam.com) and while the altitude will be challenging, I am determined to make it to the summit.
Why? Because I am climbing to raise money for a cause which is very dear to me, The National Autistic Society. Many of you know my son Louis who, together with an estimated 1 in 100 children, is on the autistic spectrum. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them.
The National Austistic Society champions the rights and interests of all people with autism and aims to provide individuals with autism and their families with help, support and services that they can access, trust and rely upon and which can make a positive difference to their lives.
So please wish me luck, dig deep and thank you in advance for your support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
