On Sunday 17th July I am taking part in the Basingstoke "Big Wheel"..a cycling event held to help raise funds for our local hospice..St Michael's in Basingstoke.        Of the  routes on offer I am off on  the one that is closest in terms of mileage to my  age (tho' I'd like to point out it's still an awful lot longer than my years!!).. it does just happen to be the longest available-- 52 miles...It has been suggested that perhaps I should have gone with mental rather than physical age as it would have been much quicker to complete such a short section!.. oh!..how cruel if possibly true!....In any case  over the past few weeks I have been performance training in the local countryside..up hill and down dale in all weathers  aiming to peak on the day!!!..found quite a few pubs around that I shall visit again sometime! Seriously  I hope you will agree that such a good cause is worth supporting and really appreciate any donation to act as a spur to keep me wheeling to the end!  Thanks to all who give!
