Story

Update****

I have only 2 weeks left of my challenge, I had a mid term Covid Crisis and wasn't able to walk much, and of course Christmas and New year lethargy....... However, I am please to report I am on 724 KMs to date, so only 76km to complete before 19th January 2022, which will be 80 days. I will give you a full up date then!!

I am, as most of us are, devastated by what is happening to our beautiful Mother Earth. COP26 and our governments are not yet fully on board to put it mildly, so we will have to act ourselves. I came across The Green Wall, a project which is helping to create 8000km of forest and shrubs from the East to the West coast of Africa, to slow desertification of the Sahara Desert. In short, it will help soil eradication, create carbon storage, create more shade for humans and animals, and ultimately enable much better conditions for crops to survive both drought and flood conditions. Many African countries are already feeling the benefit of this wonderful movement. With your help, I hope that Treeaid will be able to continue to create this beautiful Green Wall.

Thankyou for reading.
