We’re taking on the slightly insane challenge of running 15 marathons in 2023 to raise money for Merlin’s Magic Wand during their 15th year. A marathon roughly every 3 weeks… what could possibly go wrong?! 

We might have both done a few marathons in the past (ok Chris has done more than a few compared to Rach…), but taking on this many in 12 months is a huge challenge for us both and as much as we’re looking forward to taking it on, it’s also more than a little daunting! So any words of encouragement or company on some of the races would be just as welcome as your generous donations 😁

9 - 21 laps of the Itchen Bridge, 8th July 2023
10 - Cider Frolic, 22nd July 2023
11 - Richmond, 10th September 2023
12 - Clarendon Way, 1st October 2023
13 - Virtual local marathon, 14th October 2023
14 - Virtual Poole marathon, 10th November 2023
15 - Pompey Coastal, 17th December 2023

We’ve got some fundraising ideas up our sleeves for later in the year too, including options to join us running from Legoland to the London Eye, and a donation to opt out of joining us on a ridiculous marathon route we have planned… so watch this space!

Merlin’s Magic Wand provide magical experiences for children who need it most, and these families need these moments of hope and fun more than ever after the last few years. So please consider donating, and keep an eye out for further announcements!
