Hi peeps! The last time I ran in a competition was in 1994, 20 years ago. I used to be a bit of an athlete and wasnt too shabby, but just like most of us pesky teenagers, gave up and focused on other things. I can honestly say that I have regretted that ever since and have wanted to prove to myself that I can tackle a trek and a half. I have watched the London Marathon every year for years and have said "Im gonna do that" - and never did. I am gonna tackle the 26 miles head on - yes, its been 20 years but I know I can get round that course in one piece.

I am running for Cancer Research - cancer will affect most of us in our lifetime in one way or other, whether we battle it ourselves or we know others who have fought the illness. There is so much good work being done to fight the cause but this costs money, this money helps the research on prevention and cure - ensuring that people live longer, healthier and happier lives.

I may not be 14, but I am working flipping hard, anyone living in enfield will see me on The Ridgeway doing my thing, pounding the streets, clocking up those miles.

Please come and watch me - its gonna be 26 miles of pure sweat and grit - please give me a fiver and witness me drag my carcass around that the streets of our fine Capital, all in the name of Cancer Research.
