The Stroke Association - The Great Xscape · 17 July 2010 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I never thought for one moment, that I would ever do anything for charity, apart from putting money in the boxes.  Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and Race for Life, good causes, but far too much exercise.  This event appealed to me, because it seems like fun and exciting and how much trouble can I get into strapped into a harness.

The reason for actually partaking in this event, my Dad passed away suddenly after suffering a stroke 4 years ago, even though I donate money to The Stroke Association on his birthday and Christmas, this event has given me the opportunity of raising so much more, for such a worthy cause.

I can only thank you in advance and solumly do swear to humm The Great Escape theme tune, all the way down inbetween screaming!
