Last May 2011, I did a 19 mile walk from Liverpool to Southport which helped me raise £180 for HOW (Help Our Wounded). It supports seriously wounded Royal Marine Commandos. It was a great success fundraising/participation wise and last time I checked over £13,000 was raised!

This year I have signed up to do the Preston Guild Challenge which consists of 4 races over 2012:
* Monday 7th May 10am @ Avenham Park. 5k event.
* Sunday 30th September 10am @ Preston City Centre. 10k event.
* Sundady 28th October 9am @ Preston City Centre. Full Marathon.
* Sunday 18th November 10am @ Hutton Grammar. 10mile event.

If I complete all 4 I get awarded a special Guild medal! With only a few months to go I'm underway in my training and hoping to raise at least £500.
