Last year Team Character World raised a fantastic £3,788.29 for When you wish upon a Star to help grant a wish for a young boy called Billy who sadly recently lost his battle against cancer

 

2013 saw Adam Howarth’s epic challenge of riding from Paris to London, following that a group from Character World rode from Manchester to Blackpool – A 60 mile ride in July from Old Trafford to the South Promenade, in addition to this, others within the team took part in the Manchester 10k.

 

This year team Character World has a target of £4000 to raise, for an amazing children’s charity When you wish upon a Star, a charity close to our hearts. This is a small charity that relies on fund raising and donations and with your help we can grant more wishes for more children so that they will be able to say When I Wished upon a Star my dream really did come true!

2014 will see team Character World take part in many events and challenges throughout the year for this amazing charity ranging from Tatton Park 10K, Our very own bake off based at our head office, 7.5 mile hike to Kinder Downfall, a 53 mile bike ride from Manchester to Chester & of course who can forget Tough Mudder – a 12 mile obstacle course!!! Not for the faint hearted.

Our team consists of people who regularly run and cycle each week to people who have not done any serious exercise for years -we're all committed to finishing.

Sunday 2nd March - Tatton Park 10k.

 

Friday 25th April - Cake bake off based at our head office 

 

Saturday 17th May – 7.5 Mile hike to Kinder Downfall

Starting from the car park 500 yards from the Grouse Inn on Tunal road (Glossop)

 

Sunday 15th June - Manchester to Chester 53 Mile bike this start at Platts Field Park, follow the 53 mile route across the rolling Cheshire Plain and scale the wooded heights of Delamere Forest, then either finish the ride at Christleton Hall on the outskirts of Chester or keep on rolling and complete the circuit, back at the 'second finish' in Manchester.

 

Saturday 2nd August - Tough Mudder, Broughton Hall Estate, Skipton, Yorkshire, 10-12 Mile Obstacle Course
