I am raising money in honour of my Bar Mitzvah.  

My mitzvah project is contributing towards a charity called Sea Shepherd. Sea Shepherd is a charity that helps to defend, protect, and conserve the world’s oceans and marine life by enforcing conservation laws.  Sea Shepherd has successfullyhelped to restore fish populations worldwide by working with the Coast Guards of many countries.

I have always loved the sea, swimming, and exploring in the water, especially chasing fish. For my mitzvah project, I am hoping to swim 100 kilometres over the course of the year.  I began in August with a 3 km swim between two islands in Italy.  I’m close to 80 kilometres now, as I swim nearly 3km 1-2 times per week.
