Right To Play's 2012 Ride · 30 June 2012 to 3 July 2012 ·

Right To Play protects, educates & empowers children to rise above adversity. Using the power of play we help them stay in school, withstand exploitation, prevent disease and heal from war and abuse. We enable them to make positive choices, creating better futures for themselves and their societies.

Story

I would really appreciate your support for a very worthy cause.

On 1st July, I plan to join a group of riders embarking on a 3 day 300 mile ride from Liege in Belgium to London to raise funds for Right to Play.

Right to Play is a charity I have been involved with for a number of years and I am passionate about it’s objectives. Right to Play seeks to improve the lives of disadvantaged children across the world through the power of sport and play.

In countries like Liberia, the Palestinian Territories and South Sudan, Right to Play invests in sports infrastructure, organisation and mentoring to help improve child health and teach life skills and conflict resolution. The parts of the world where Right to Play operates present some of the most complicated development and rehabilitation challenges and I am convinced  of the power of sport to help children in these environments.

Mark Cavendish encouraged me to do the ride and we both set off from Liege within 24 hours of eachother. He is heading to Paris targeting the Green Jersey. I am heading to London targeting raising as much money for Right to Play as possible.

Please support me and Right to Play!

Thank you

Charles
