Hello! We're running the London Marathon this April to raise money for the Karen Morris Memorial Trust. It's an amazing charity which has raised millions of pounds since 1999 to set up accommodation on site at the UK's leading leukaemia hospitals so families can be together through dark times,  as well as funding complementary treatments for which there is no NHS funding and go a little way towards alleviating the suffering of leukaemia patients and their families. 

We're 10 weeks in to our 16 week training schedules and have already run a combined total of 550 miles. Our knees hurt, hamstrings are tight and toenails are hanging precariously but it's your donations and raising money for such a brilliant cause that makes it all worthwhile. 

Reading the Guestbook on the KMMT website (http://kmmt.org.uk/guestbook/) shows the immediate impact this charity, and your donation, can have so please give as generously as possible. Our combined target is £6000, but we're really hoping to exceed it! Also, thanks to the generosity of a charitable trust every donation will be matched - a charity BOGOF deal.

The Karen Morris Memorial Trust was established in 1999 to continue to fundraising initiative of a 23 year old student who passed away on 18th September 1998, just one year after being diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia.

Family support during a period of illness is crucial. Yet, due to a lack of affordable accommodation close to treatment centres, families cannot stay nearby and patients are often isolated during periods of extended hospital treatment.

The Karen Morris Memorial Trust provides Homes from Home, so families can stay in welcoming accommodation close to the haematology wards where loved ones are being treated.
