I'm raising money for Wiltshire Mind in memory of Josh Hammond.  I taught Josh in my very first Year 6 class back in 2009 and he was a cheeky, kind boy with a great sense of humour who was not only popular with his peers but with all of the staff at Queen's Crescent.  Josh made a big impression on me as an NQT - I think it was our mutual love for Formula 1 and that he sometimes smiled at my awful jokes! I was lucky enough to teach Josh's younger brother, Kai, as a Year 3 and also as a Year 5, so was kept up to date with how Josh was doing at secondary school by his wonderful mum, Kerry, during many an end-of-the-day natter outside of my classroom door. 

Devastatingly, after battling mental health issues, Josh took his own life in November 2017.  Josh's family have subsequently raised money for Wiltshire Mind in his memory, (a local charity affiliated with the national Mind charity) who make a difference to many people but who rely purely on fundraising and donations to generate the income needed to keep their services going.
