Leicester Town and Gown 2018
Campaign by Muscular Dystrophy UK (RCN 205395 (England and Wales) - SC039445 (Scotland))
A 10k run in the heart of Leicester as part of Muscular Dystrophy UK’s Town and Gown 10k series.

Story

Hi, I'm Charlie Slater - BBC Sport commentator and weather presenter for BBC East Midlands Today, Midlands Today and North West Tonight.

I've been asked to run 10,000 metres in support of the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK and I am more than up for the challenge!

Muscular Dystrophy affects so many people across the UK and the world and it's such a cruel condition. The decline can be slow or fast and it's always devastating.

Muscular Dystrophy UK is such an incredible cause and charity that needs support to continue helping those impacted by MD and it's something that I'm passionate about.

I know 10K isn't that far for some people but it's a loooooong way for me so I'm training hard to make sure that I can get over the line of March the 4th.

Any donations would be really appreciated.

Thanks for reading,

Charlie
