Why are you doing this?
Kate came up with a great idea to raise some money for good causes and help someone in need and I just wanted to help. It has NOTHING to do with the fact that I could get to cut my girlfriend’s hair with secateurs. No, you're a liar.

Who are the Harrington Scheme?
The Harington Scheme provides a unique opportunity for young adults with learning disabilities and/or difficulties, delivering individual learning programmes designed to help them into employment, further education or a more rewarding life.
Set up as a charity by the local community over thirty years ago, they're located on a unique and beautiful site in Highgate, North London.

Why the Harrington Scheme?
The Harrington Scheme support people with Autism and learning disabilities to learn to be gardeners and to gain work experience. Many people with autism and learning disabilities get defined by their disabilities and can be treated as if they can make no contribution to society. The Harrington Scheme works against that by providing people with Autism and learning disabilities with the skills needed to gain a job and positively contribute to society. It’s a wonderfully positive model for working with people with learning disabilities.

What happens if you raise the most money?
If I win, all of the money pledged will go to the Harrington Scheme AND I will be cutting Kate’s hair with a pair of garden secateurs, in the Harrington scheme’s honour. All of the hair will get donated (see the team page for details - link below).

What happens if I don’t raise the most money?
All of the money pledged will still go to the Harrington Scheme, but there will be no amusing video of me cutting Kate’s hair with garden tools. You will still get to see Kate's hair being removed in an amusing manner, but clearly mine's the best way and therefore you should donate to me.
