Money for Hero's like my Dad.

Virgin London Marathon 2016 · 24 April 2016 ·
My heart is heavy, a large lump is in my throat stoping me from swallowing as I write this and my tears are cascading down my cheeks and falling heavy on to my key board as I recall nearly loosing the love of my life, My Dad.
3 years ago mine, my family and our friends worlds and hearts were shattered when my Dad suffered a Stroke. He was so very poorly and to see the physical and emotional pain he was facing was truly unbearable. Every little girls father is the best man that's ever existed, but I can honestly say mine really is. He is my rock, my best friend and confident and I know many of you share this view of him. He is always the first to support those he loves, to wipe away all of our tears and to offer a helping hand.
I never thought in my wildest dreams it would be possible to make the remarkable recovery he has. There were tears of frustration, moments of anger and days of sorrow along the road but he never gave up. You truly are my Hero.
So I'm running this race for my Daddy and all the amazing things he has given me in this life. Today it's my turn to give something back and help those who sadly find themselves in his situation and in some cases worse.
You received the most incredible support mainly from my Mummy and Philly, at times it was very hard on them and sole destroying to keep up the smiles and support when sadness crept in. Our family and friends were an amaizing help from cooking dinners and babysitting you as we used to call it back then and I'm forever indebted to you all. My Dad had superb Drs, Nurses, physio's and carers and I wish I could say every stroke victim is this fortunate but their not.
We have all got through this together with humour, love and care with the support of our friends and family. We are incredibly lucky to have had the best medical attention possible. Many family's do not have this. I believe everyone deserves this and so I kindly ask you to sponsor me in any way you can no matter how big or small it really will all make all the difference to someone else's family that's suffering as we all did.
I have been accepted by Stroke Association and they have given me my place in the London Marathon after I wrote to them telling them all about my wonderful Dad and what a truly sensational, Husband, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Friend and Dad he is, so every penny I raise will go to them and giving back to those that find themselves in this extremely sad and desperate situation.
