Story

Alexia Fishwick and I, as Trustees of The Wildheart Trust, are hoping to raise a quick buck to go towards the care of the animals at the Sanctuary which remains closed due to coronavirus.

The Wildheart Trust provides loving forever homes to big cats and other animals which have been rescued from desperate circumstances and are unable to live in the wild. The team works holistically and compassionately to ensure each individual has an enriched and meaningful life while they act as true ambassadors motivating people of all ages to make the world a better place for animals.

In return for any pennies pledged we will face our biggest fears and phobias during a LIVE Facebook stream this Friday 5th June @ 3pm on the @thewildhearttrust Facebook page.

Alexia will hold some MASSIVE wriggling morio worms while I will be offering my not so fair and trembling hand to a curlyhair tarantula!!!!

I've been terrified of spiders since I was in the bath, aged about six, I lifted up a sponge and a big black (probably teganaria) belly-flopped into the water with me! Since then the 8-legged arthropods have scared the living daylights out of me - pathetic I know. I'm always kind to them, I try to name any which co-habit with me to reduce the anxiety but that only ever goes so far to easing the tension.

Alexia says "I'm stealing myself in readiness for holding a Morio worm. I'm totally horrified by them but to be honest they probably won't be that into me either! Either we'll get to like each other or else it'll be hi but bye! Just going to try not to faint!"

From Alexia and from me. .  .thanks for your support. .  .we've got some sleepless nights ahead!
