One day, earlier this year, my eldest sister thought it would be a really good idea to run a half marathon, her and I having completed the Cancer Research 10K in October last year along Bournemouth seafront.  It was a kind of "one for all, all for one" mentality which then kicked in amongst the 4 sisters and a few days later, the 4 "Price Girls" were signed up for the Windsor Half Marathon on Sunday, 27th September 2009.

I have chosen Cancer Research UK as my charity, having done a couple of their 10K's now and not for those races raised any dosh (through not asking, not having tight friends and family I hasten to add!), so its time for me to do some good whilst putting myself through this agony!

Training is going well for Jue, Hal and I, we have 31 days left before the big day to get those miles into our legs to prepare us and it will be such an achievement for us to complete the distance. Sadly, S-Lynn has had to pull out after much angst due to back trouble but resting and getting better now is the best thing for her and once she has resumed her running career, which is not in doubt, maybe we will do the distance, all 4 of us together!

So please donate; this is a first for me, running this distance - I only took up running after Archie was born and never would have dreamt before I could run for 13 minutes (I couldn't!), let alone 13 miles - and I can't quite believe I might actually go and do it!   Maybe then my next page will be for the Marathon .... not! ......... ... well, you never know ....
