On 11th May, I will be swimming 1900m, cycling 90km and running a half marathon. Why? Partly because I turn 40 in August and want 2019 to be my fittest year yet but I'd also like to take the opportunity to raise money for Garden House Hospice, a local charity which is close to my heart and our charity of the year for our family business, Gatwards of Hitchin. 

The palliative care they provide for people with life-limiting illnesses is nothing short of remarkable and it is completely free to people in North Hertfordshire. Many of us are fortunate to be in the position of not knowing if or when we may ever need their help but all of us will have experienced the death or serious illness of a loved one. Garden House Hospice rely entirely on the generosity of people like you and me to ensure that they can continue to provide this much-needed care.
