Quickly forgetting the pain of the Great South Run last year, and in a mad moment, we decided to enter the Great North Run. We will be running to raise funds for Kidscan, a children's cancer charity.

1 in 500 children will be diagnosed with cancer in the UK this year.
Tragically, 30% of these children will not survive. Through groundbreaking research, KidsCan is striving to reduce that figure but your continued support is vital.

Kidscan's aims are simple:
• To cure more children with cancer.
• To improve the treatment of children with cancer.
• To develop new treatments for childhood cancer.
• To be a source of information about childhood cancer.
