Charlotte Roe is raising money for Kidasha
Story
I am undertaking a 24 day expedition hiking to Base Camp Mount Everest during Easter 2014 with the University of Leeds RAG. Our challenge begins on our arrival in Lukla, Nepal where our arduous trek will commence to South Base Camp.
Those of you who know me personally you will know how excited I am to partake in this challenge, even though knowing me I will probably trip up and fall down a mountain several times a day!!
It's a once in a life-time opportunity that I did not think I would be undertaking at such a young age and the fact that it is for such an incredible cause makes the experience even more beneficial.
By sponsoring my climb you will be helping street and working children, child victims of sexual abuse and exploitation and children and mothers living in urban slums. Kidasha goes beyond the reach of existing services and support, reaching directly to the children in desparate need of help.
Out of every 100 children in the areas where Kidasha works:
- 90 are born without any medical help.
-90 do not have safe water to drink.
-42 live below the poverty line.
-40 are underweight or have stunted growth.
-38 do not complete primary education.
-34 are involved in child labour.
Kidasha believes that every child matters, and so do we!
Please help us to help them. We would love to raise as much money as we possibly can....Please dig very very deep, inside your hearts & your wallets! By raising money we can't expect to change their lives...... but we can have a bloody good try at making what lives they have a little sunnier.
