Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you know, Tom and myself work in a primary school. A 10 year old girl, in Tom's class has a condition called Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD). This condition is extremely rare whereby it is caused by abnormal cilia. Cilia are microscopic hair-like structures that beat in the airway clearing mucus and debris. People with PCD, cilia are either static or do not beat in a coordinated fashion (dyskinesia) meaning the body unable to clear secretions. This can affect the lungs, nose, sinuses, ears and fertility.

Tom and I would appreciate it so much if you could make a donation however big or little as we are running this Half Marathon to help and try raise awareness of her condition for her family.
Thank you for reading.
