Story
I think its my turn to give something back to a charity that really made my time in hospital a hell of a lot easier.(Gemma Downes) Clic Sargent social workers help the children and families affected by childhood cancers, from helping get invalueable financial benefits which go towards costs of getting to and from hospital, and different living arrangements, to doing a pizza run when the going gets tough and just generally being there as a breath of fresh air, offering support and advice on ''how to make the most of your cancer experience''!!
As does everything, the all round care Clic provides to children and young people alike costs money, and so I am going to try and raise as much as possible. A friend and his friend are walking the 630 miles that make the South West Coastal Path, and have very kindly said I can hobble along with them, for 4 days from the 4th of July, to do my bit for Clic. The guys are walking to raise money for Cancer Research and Prospect Hospice, due to having their own experiences of cancer in their families, so together, we hope we can make a difference.
