On November the 27th i will  be embarking on my 2nd challenge for The phoenix projects, climbing four volcanoes in four days!!!!

First up, is Volcan Pacaya, which recently had a massive eruption, engulfing much of the area in ash, including Guatemala City and the main international airport. After conquering Pacaya, we  will start the trek up Volcano numero dos Santa María.  Next up we reach almost to the Mexican border to  climb tajumulco and summit at the base camp which is one of the highest points in Central America at over 4200m high. From the peak, you can see all the way into Mexico and down towards El Salvador.  An early rise the following morning on day four with a long drive to Lake Atitlán, where  we will proeceed to hike up San Pedro, with incomparable views of the lake from the top. It's tough, though worth it! This challenge is going to be EXTREMELY difficult but with the amazing cause that all the funds will be going to in both schools its going to be well worth it!! Remeber any little bit helps to provide an education, food, and a better life for a child in need!!!

With the Phoenix projects objective being to provide free, first time and sustainable education for the children who would otherwise not have access to education due to economic or social constraints...here are some statistics on how YOU can make a difference, and what your money will be going to!!

 -  $ 10 provides fruit for a child for one month!

 - $ 25 provides food for a child for one month!

- $ 24,846 could provide enough food for 650 school children and their families.

- $ 310 could pay for a local teacher to work in our school for a whole year ( The school in itzapa will be a national legal school in january wahoo)

- $ 164 could provide a family of 11 with enough to live off of for a WHOLE YEAR!

- $ 394 could pay for a student to go to secondary school for the full three years of education, all the way through to graduation.
