Story
We are 4 students at the University of Worcester studying Business Management. For our Business Challenge module, we have the challenge of organising and completing a fundraising event.
As a group, we decided to raise money for Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter. Located in Worcestershire, the shelter is open to abandoned, unwanted and mistreated animals in need of urgent care. Their main aims are to give shelter, medical treatment and care, and, of course, to re-home. The Shelter is run by dedicated staff and volunteers wanting to ease the distress of animals that, through no fault of their own, are abandoned, unwanted or mistreated.
The shelter has done some amazing work and found permanent homes for many animals, however due to the number of animals which are being rescued, they could benefit from more facilities. Currently, there is planning for an building extension. This will include more kennels for the animals, new facilities, training rooms and a brand new reception area. These major improvements will enable the shelter to achieve their full potential and hopefully provide somewhere safe for homeless animals to live.
The 4 of us will be completing a sponsored walk from Cheltenham to Worcester - 25 miles! We will be starting early hours Wednesday morning from Cheltenham city centre and making our way all the way to Worcester; returning that evening! As we walk, I will be taking a video camera to record parts of the journey. The footage that we take will be put together into a small video which will be showcased as part of our assignment. also this will be available to view on social media.
We do hope that you will be able to support us, every little helps.
Thank you in advance to any donations made - truly appreciated!
