I just wanted to stress how much this means having lost 2 loved ones to this terrible disease. We really can't prepare for what dementia brings as every case differs. What can be said is that we could never truly understand what dementia patients have to go through on a daily basis. I have lost my grandad, tom and my nana, mary to Alzheimer's and seeing them struggle with their own thoughts and fears on a daily basis had to be the worst of all. I could never imagine having to wake up every day thinking I was alone in the world, not remembering who my family were.

Dementia takes our memories, causes confusion, affects our mood and makes simple things more and more difficult. We all know how to make a cup of tea....but what if one day we forgot. We take every day for granted, so please give what you can to help make a difference to those with dementia :)
