Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you know I lost my grandad almost 18 months ago now and unfortunately the heartache you feel when you lose someone you love so much never gets easier. We just do things to help remember them, honour their memory and make them proud.
Last year my little boy sold raffle tickets for a signed LFC shirt and raised £500 and this year I have decided to sign up to Wigan and Leigh Hospice's Strictly Dance Competition where I will perform in front of hundreds of people at the DW stadium to help raise money for this wonderful charity.
The weeks leading up to my grandads passing where extremely difficult for us as a family, we needed as much help and support as possible and the hospice provided us with the personal help and care we needed. They helped with arrangements for furniture, adaptations to the home, medication and emotional support for us and my grandad. Their help was incredible and desperately needed at such a desperate time. We honestly cannot thank them enough and I hope that the money we are raising will allow them to continue their amazing work and to help fund more respite care, more sleepovers to offer relief for desperate families like ours.
If you know me well, you know im not scared of a challenge. This is one that im really excited about and know that my grandad would be very proud. Im sure he would laugh his head off if I told him what I was doing, but then he would love to tell his mates about it down the pub! This is for you grandad!
You will be forever missed and always in my heart!
