£1.00 is genuinely all I am asking from you!! 

A year ago today I took the call in which I heard the words "you have breast cancer" later finding out it was down to gentics and not only did I have a high risk of developing ovarian cancer too but also that there is a 50/50 chance I have passed the gene on to my two amazing children, which also includes prostate cancer in boys.

Six rounds of chemo and a double mastectomy later I am fighting fit (with the exception of preventative surgery for ovarian cancer later this year).

I am lucky and with the on going work of Cancer Research so can many others including our/my future generations!

I stupidly put my name in the ballot for the London landmark half marathon not thinking (and hoping I wouldnt) get a place! Guess what? I did! I use to love running and this would have been my idea of fun, however since finishing treatment I have struggled, my fitness has took a battering and this is gonna be hard!
