Story

It has now been a year since I lost my sister, and whilst in many ways this day is no different from any other day without her, I wanted to mark the moment with something more positive. I am going to be running my first sprint-Triathlon this weekend (Saturday 4 June) in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace.

Whilst I had, until now, planned to make this a very personal feat of mine, I think Danda would be kicking me for not trying to help others in the process. We had planned to do a run for Breakthrough Breast Cancer together when she was better, so now I'd like to do this triathlon for her AND this particular charity.
They have, in fact just now announced a breakthrough in treatment for Triple Negative Breast Cancer (which was the kind Danda had) - another positive note (albeit bittersweet) to mark this moment. More info about that here...

Should you wish to make a donation it is all very straightforward.
I'll be swimming 750m, cycling 20km and running 5km - nothing at all compared to the marathon Danda went through - but I will push myself hard, think of her strength and know she will be cheering me on and be behind me all the way.
