Story
Thank-you for visiting my Just Giving page, which is in support of East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
On Sunday, May 16th, I will be taking part in the 2010 Ride for Life event at Thetford Forest. This will be the third time I have taken part in the charity event, but I won't be doing it alone.
I am lucky enough to be able to share the event with a number of friends and family, including my daughter Helen and her daughter Dorothy, who are also riding with me.
I have signed up to complete the 35-mile course on the day, but as I love the freedom of cycling and know the importance of being active, I can't wait to get started.
I have been very lucky to have two healthy children and a healthy grandchild, and I'm tremendously grateful for that.
But during my life and career, including in my current role as Chair of NHS Norfolk, I have seen what others go through when they have a sick child. To be able to have the kind of the support that the hospice offers can make the world of difference.
So I am proud to help raise awareness of the services that the East Anglia's Children's Hospices provide and help raise money for the charity too. But I'll need your help to raise as much money as possible for EACH and I hope you will dig deep and donate now.
Thanks again,
Sheila
