Edith was an older girl that was sadly no longer wanted by her family. When found, Edith had a very swollen abdomen that definitely needed veterinary attention. Whilst with us Edith was such a sweet girl, always wanting love and attention from our volunteers. She would greet us with head rubs and meows as soon as we walked through the door.

We took her to the vets and after being scanned, x-rayed and having bloods taken nothing showed up as unusual. However,  we went back to the vets a couple of days later and Edith had an operation on her stomach to see what was going on. Unfortunately, Edith had huge lymph nodes and a enlarged spleen.

Sadly we had to make the hardest decision and decided to let her go over to the rainbow bridge as there was no cure for her. She must have been in unbearable pain for such a long time and we couldn't let her endure anymore. As well as Edith's passing we are also left with a huge vet bill standing at £1,200 for Edith alone. Any help towards Edith's vet bill would be greatly appreciated.
