St Michaels hospice is a charity based in Hereford who offer care and support to people who are terminally ill and for their families. My nan, was admitted to the hospice in September 2019 after being diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer.  With the staff’s amazing help and support to build her back by giving her home cooked food and daily physio, this allowed us to have an extra 4 wonderful months with her, which we wouldn't have had. The hospice have also gave ongoing support for my family.

However, all this fantastic care is only made possible by charity donations and fundraising. Therefore myself, my auntie, my dad, my brother and cousin will be running the St Michaels half marathon on the 9th May 2021 and would ask that you give generously to this fantastic cause. 

The charity's mission is to make sure palliative and end of life care is available to all who can benefit from it, regardless of age, gender, diagnosis, social group or location. This includes supporting those people close to the dying person throughout the pre- post- bereavement stages too.
