Hello my name is Chloe and I am 19 years old. I have decided to take part in a charity skydive to raise money for the Eikon Charity who have supported me for the past 8 years, through some incredibly difficult and painful times in my life. As well as be there through the happiest of them.

Eikon are a charity who truly do put their young people first, I have experienced this first hand. They have helped me build my family relationships, better my mental health and provide me support through problems that most people would not know how to deal with. 

After I left school, I was told I could not be supported by Eikon and have 1:1 sessions, this was not a choice made by Eikon but by the school. However, Eikon still continued to see me and stay in contact with me and were always there if I needed someone to talk to. 

I spoke to Caroline, who was the Head of Community and Youth work at Eikon and said how upsetting this is because when we finish school not a lot of us know what to do and it is a completely different outlook on life. Caroline came up with the idea of Eikonik's, this was to be a group that was for people that have left school but still needed support. It was a chance to create a support network among each other. 

We started brainstorming ideas of how we can start fundraising to get this going, a Skydive was top of the list. 

Without Eikon's help, I would not be where I am today. They have been a constant support to me and I would like to give back to them what they have me. It has been a tough 8 years to say the least but, without Eikon's determination and willingness to help it would have been a whole lot harder. 

The photo in my cover is of some other young people, Caroline and I who went to Downing Street where the Chancellor of the Exchequer hosted a reception for Eikon. Here I got the chance to tell my story.
