Story

We are a bunch of friends who have joined together to support the PSDS Tri with a twist.  We will be entering 6 teams into the Dorney Lake Banana team triathlon and supporting 10 walkers to complete 21km.

We want to celebrate Chloe Hadley, and other's with Down syndrome, and ask our friends and family to spread the word that a child like Chloe is amazing.  She does take a bit longer to process her thoughts, and achieve milestones, and requires a bit more help.  But she is very funny, and cute and the best cuddler you could meet.  She is also sometimes naughty and always very determined but she can always bring a smile to your face.

As a group we set out to have something fun to look forward to and challenge ourselves physically after a pretty rubbish Covid related period.  Most of us, even the fit ones, need to really work hard to raise our fitness levels to complete the challenge.  Some of the group are starting from zero or digging out bikes that haven't seen the light of day in 10 years. Some of the team are pushing for their personal bests and looking for a really competitive result.  We will be pushing ourselves.  And we ask for the support of our family and friends - to celebrate Chloe and people with DS, to celebrate our hard work, and if you can to donate to PSDS so they can continue to support children like Chloe.

About the charity

PSDS provides a wide range of essential services and support for children and young people with Down syndrome and their families. Through our "see potential, celebrate success" philosophy we change perceptions about what a diagnosis of Down syndrome really means.
