Sadly on June 3rd this year my Sister-in-law Sarah Andrews, wife and mother to two teenage boys lost her three year battle against Breast Cancer at the age of 43. As a midwife she brought many lives into the world and helped make a difference in so many ways. After working right up to a few weeks before she passed away, and through all her radio & chemotherapy treatment, she never gave up hope. Her treatment and her time in the last few weeks was spent in the care of Velindre Cancer Centre.

Velindre provides specialist cancer services to over 1.5 million people in South East Wales and beyond. They are one of the largest cancer centres in the UK. Each year over 5,000 new referrals and around 50,000 new outpatient appointments are seen.

SKYDIVING  - The thought of doing a skydive fills most people with fear (I am no exception) but imagine being told the news that you have cancer. It's a time in your life when you have to put your trust in others. 

On Sunday 16th of September I'm booked in to Swansea Skydive (weather permitting) for my first ever tandem skydive from 14,000 ft. After about one minutes free fall, we should hopefully have about a 4 minute peaceful decent back down.  

The first step is the one I fear the most, but with your help, support and kind donations it will be worth it. Together, we can all hopefully raise awareness & money for a fantastic cause that brings hope to so many people.
