Story
I became involved with The Clocktower Sanctuary through my employer Russell New, who are their accountants.
I recently went to visit their operation in Brighton and was struck by the energy and enthusiasm their staff and volunteers have towards making a difference to the lives of young people in the area.
Homelessness should never threaten to take a place in the lives of Sussex's young people, however the combined pressures of unemployment and higher costs of living since the financial crisis have led to services such as The Clocktower Sactuary becoming more and more vital in helping alleviate the problems that many 16-25 year olds now face.
The Sanctuary provides information, advice and support to young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are homeless or insecurely housed. Since they began in 1998, they have helped thousands of vulnerable young people - offering a friendly safe space, food and drink, access to computers and the internet, signposting to housing, health, education, employment and social services - as well as practical and emotional support to help young people get their lives back on track.
I am really looking forward to running the 2015 Brighton Marathon on behalf of such a wonderful cause. It would be fantastic if your donation could help me to reach my fundraising goal for the guys and girls at the CTS.
All the best,
Chris
