Story

I am running the Cambridge Half Marathon on the 8th March, a few days after the birthday of my daughter, Bethan,  who would have been 21 this year. A half marathon is 21 kilometres and thus seems a fitting way to mark this occasion.

Bethan was a bright, brave teenager with a talent for art, music and friendship. She died when she was 16 of cancer and the charity for which I will be raising money on the 8th is Cancer Research UK. My involvement with CRUK is one of a number of ways I try to be active in memory of Bethan. If you would like to find out more about issues and action in the struggle against young people's cancers, you can visit my website at: https://sites.google.com/site/joiningupthedotscc/
