Ride for Recovery 2019 · 8 June 2019 ·
Thanks dear friends and family to all those of you who have already given and to you others for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. So at, 129, we're getting on our bikes to ride 100 miles on June 8th and want you to join us too in spirit....though if you'd like to ride there's plenty of space on the road for a few more! Marina will knock out 40 miles in just a few hours and Chris will pedal on for a further 20. We'll be with others as climb hills, spin along country lanes and zoom happily down a few slopes like into Old Windsor and the Hambledon valley near Henley. All for some dear friends doing outstanding work with guys emerging from dark years of drug and alcohol addiction. You won't be surprised to hear that the Yeldall centre, like so many others, has been hard hit by austerity and funding cuts. Take a look at the site if you don't already know them: http://www.yeldall.org.uk/
Read some of the stories. We have several good friends working there, one of whom was a resident this time last year, and know many who have had their lives changed as a result of the care and help on offer.
If you've got this far, thanks....but now it's time to think if you can make a contribution.....Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. It's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
The photo?? That was last year. Marina heading up the final sprint....and she's on all the fliers for this year's event.
Blessings...and let us know if you want to know the gory details.
