Marie Curie Cancer Care is The Football League’s Official Charity Partner for the 2010/11 season. I'm climbing Kilimanjaro – Kamaramanjaro - for the charity this June and I’m calling on football fans to help me raise as much as possible for this fantastic cause.  

My mum was cared for at home by Marie Curie Nurses, so I know how important the work of the charity is. It is very close to my heart.

The beautiful game, like life, has its highs and lows and it’s reassuring to know that Marie Curie Cancer Care is there for people during their last days, giving them the choice of where they want to be.

Together, Football League fans can make a difference this season by getting involved and helping to achieve the fundraising goal of £500,000 – enough to fund 25,000 hours of free Marie Curie nursing care.  Now that’s unbelievable!”

Thank you to everyone involved in the Soccer Saturday Marie Curie Cancer Care Golf Tournament in Tenerife May 23rd/24th. A fantastic few days for everyone and we managed to raise £20,000 - a massive amount. Thank you all again. Kammy
