Story

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The time of year has come again for Cumbria’s hottest males to don their Lycra, saddle up and set sail on the mighty coast to coast in memory of one of the greatest human beings ever to grace the face of this planet, Glenn McNichol.

For those of you that were lucky enough to know Glenn, you will be all too aware that he was no ordinary human being. Glenn was something special and his kindness, humour, generosity and all round legendary character made a happy and everlasting imprint on pretty much everyone he met. Actually, everyone he met.

Our love, respect and brotherhood for Glenn have led us to complete the coast to coast each year both in memory of him and also, to raise money for the brilliant charities and institutes that cared for him and others, during the indescribably hard later stages of life, and continue to uphold the same selfless duty for many others. The work that these people do on a daily basis provides an indescribable level of help and support to many people and families going
through the toughest periods of their lives and deserves some respect and support in return!

Many of you will have supported our quest on previous years; generously donating to our cause and this year we will once again be raising money for St Leonards Hospice in York, who cared for our Glenn in the later stages of his glorious life.

We are once again asking for your support, in donations to St Leonards Hospice and bear no sense of guilt in asking you to dig deep, sell any valuable possessions, rob a bank or do any other means necessary to give generously. We guarantee you that your donations are going to a much worthier cause than our own.

We love you all and thank you for your support in previous, current and future years of our magical cycling adventure in memory of a magical human being.
