It helps children who are suffering from leukaemia and cancer. It also helps members of the family who are in need, hardship or distress while supporting such children.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This charity was introduced to me by Mike Rolfe who's family have been directly impacted by the cause it supports, that is supporting families whose children are diagnosed with Leukemia.  For the last 2 years I have performed the bike leg of the Triathlon with Mike on the swim and Pete Hosier on the run.  I have never trained for the event more than a couple of rides around the block and I have always been paralysed for 3 days after the event.  So last year I made Mike a commitment to do the whole thing and throw myself into a full training schedule!!!!

For those that know me I don't do things by half and am now 8 months into a full-on training schedule, I have bought all the gear and determined not to be labelled 'ALL THE GEAR NO IDEA'!!!

My bike and run training has gone well with my bike time down from last years 48 mins to training rides of 40 minutes now, and my run has come down from 25 mins to 20 mins.  My swim is not going so well but I am working on that and hope to get through that first leg and then attack on the bike and run (well that is the idea, let's hope it works)!!
