Challenge Adventure Charities - The Irish Challenge · 30 September 2010 ·

For 25 years, we have organised cycle events, mainly in Europe. We have raised a huge £4,378,361 mainly for cancer, heart and other medical research. We pride ourselves that EVERY PENNY that has been raised has been paid to charity - our participants paying the full fees for event entry themselves.

Story

This Thursday 30th September,  I will be setting off on my latest fundraising expedition - a 500 mile ride across Ireland from Blarney Castle near Cork to Dublin, the Guinness capital of the world! The event takes place over three days and the long term forecast is typical of Ireland in October. (Wet & windy!!)

As you will probably know, I have been a trustee of Challenge Adventure Charities and participant on these trips for some fifteen years and we have now raised in excess of £2.6 Million for our charities.

Our main charities this year are Cancer Research UK and British Heart Foundation.  Cancer is very close to all of us and particularly for me as my mother struggled with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma last year - but we all know someone who has struggled with this horrible disease.

Please, if you can sponsor me - charities are particularly vulnerable in these difficult times so please either send me a cheque or sponsor me through Just Giving.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please help me and donate now.
