Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2013 · 4 August 2013 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

I hope you can inspire me to complete the 100 mile gruelling course, based on last year's Olympic road race, as quickly as possible. Have a look at this clip which shows the course (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53OznVHIXxc).

I am proud to support leukaemia & lymphoma research (www.beatingbloodcancers.org.uk) which does an amazing job to raise awareness, and fights to make unnecessary deaths from blood cancers a thing of the past. Sadly, a close family friend died from myeloma earlier this year and I will be thinking of him.

In addition, as most of you know, I am passionate about providing a better service for people with facial palsy. I have decided to share my donations with a recently formed charity with which I have been involved (http://www.facialpalsy.org.uk). There is a huge amount of useful information on the website, and those involved with the charity  are working tirelessly to improve the lives of people with this  condition which has such a dramatic effect upon them.

Please be generous to help these very worthy causes.
