On Sunday 7th September 2014, I am partaking in the Cheltenham Half Marathon.  I have decided to raise awareness for Winston's Wish www.winstonswish.org.uk for the 2nd year running (excuse the pun)!  Winston's Wish is a very important organisation that has shown support for my cousin Laura and her two daughters at an incredibly difficult time.  In 2007, 2 brothers, Danny and Dean Barnett tragically died in a car accident.  Danny left behind his girlfriend Laura and two girls Erin (6) and Keira (3).  Laura, Erin, Keira and the whole family found this loss an immense struggle. Laura got in touch with Winston's Wish and they immediately gave tremendous support.  The kind of support where Erin and Keira were given the opportunity to meet other children dealing with the loss of a parent. This support also included learning how to create a memory box to keep their memories of their Daddy and Uncle safe.

Laura says "Winston's Wish are a fantastic charity that deserves more recognition to help provide other children and families suffering from traumatic loss of loved ones".

Laura could never thank Winston's Wish enough for their understanding, compassion and more importantly for enabling the girls to have answers to the questions that she or anyone else did not have the answers to.
