London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023 · 2 April 2023 ·
A first I thought I was overeating, drinking too much and just being an unhealthy middle aged man. Most of which was true but through a random blood test I discovered I was actually suffering from Hypothyroidism (Hashimoto Thyroiditis) and probably have been for many years.
Brain fog, gaining weight, major fatigue, sensitive to cold, restless sleep and dry skin are all symptoms that need to be managed as my body attacks my Thyroid. Now on tablets for the rest of my life, I need to manage this with a complete lifestyle change. Better diet, more exercise, smarter choices all round.
Taking part in this challenge is not just a New Years resolution, its a lifestyle change for good, a complete over hall.
Please support the work the BTF do for raising awareness and support for this condition. Its not life threatening but is certainly life changing for many.
Thank you!!
