When serious illness affects a child, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with a dedicated expert Family Support Worker to help them face and make the most of each new day.By reaching my £4,000 London Marathon fundraising target we will have raised enough to support a family with a seriously ill child for a year.

Chris’ niece Eloise suffers from Charge Syndrome and needs constant round the clock care. Rainbow Trust provide the support for his sister Helen needs to care for Eloise. Helen has had a neonatal support worker called Carly since Eloise was 2 months old. Carly offers a lot of sibling support. Helen has a 4 year old son called Joseph who Carly would help entertain while Helen visited Eloise in hospital. If Helen was unable to go, then Carly would sit in the hospital so Eloise would always have someone there. Carly would entertain Joseph and Eloise so that Helen could have
some "me" time and would also help with housework. Carly and Rainbow Trust also organise days out or events that Helen and the kids attend which they always really enjoy. The money that we are aiming to raise will go towards the continued and invaluable support that Rainbow Trust offer families with disabled children, like my sister.
